Good place to walk to Eulach-halle. We are three sisters, so it would be nice to have 3 separete beds in one room, if possible. Now we had two rooms. Beds were good anyway. Nice breakfast and nice that it was available until 12. Nice service.
well located for what we had to do, small room for 3 but all was there nice breakfast would have been good to have scrambled eggs. no parking available for the second night even though we got charged two days.
Location and value for this hotel. Service and staff were excellent and conveniently located with Shopping centre across the road and MacDonald's adjacent. Power point TS in Switzerland are not European standard but loan adapter ir butbthier for CHF10
Easy stay at this Ibis. Very friendly a d efficient front desk employees. Clean and all worked. Good location slightly set back from main street yet quiet rooms, no noise at all. Easy 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by public transport (station in front Ibis) to the city center with lots of shops at the known "Marktgasse". Fair price for a double room considering the nice breakfast buffet being included. Covered car parking available for a small CHF 5. I recommend this Ibis for an easy stay.
Room was definitely too small. We booked the 3-people room and it was tough to move around. Bathroom was ok, wifi was decent, we didn't buy breakfast so can't really tell. Location-wise it's not too far to Winterthur Bhf (walking distance) and with car you can easily reach Zurich Airport in 20 minutes. Another downside is parking. There's no street parking so you have to pay and for me it cost CHF 20 per day which I think it's ridiculous. Maybe I should've asked the receptionist because my experience with Ibis Lucerne Kriens I was given a discount and had to pay only CHF 8 per day. But since we were already running late we just paid the 20 and left to airport.
We had a two nights stay in Winterthur and we choose the Ibis City hotel. It is a standard hotel form Ibis. If you decide to stay there you will not expect huge rooms but you will find cleanness and all-what-needed for a short stay. I found very useful the covered parking (level -1) to be used in case of ice or bad weather. Nice staff and quiet room.
Due to my business issues I am staying in different hotels in different cities in Europe. Ibis winterthur hotel is a good choice because of comfort , good breakfast and internet. For me breakfast and internet is really important during my stays. Thanks.
Prompt and friendly registration together with a clean and quiet room made our short stay in Winterthur a pleasure. Would recommend this hotel for shorter stays without hesitation, particularly due to its central location.
According to the Accor booking website and my reservation confirmation, the room was supposed to contain (among other things) 2 beds of 200cm length and a desk. In reality, one bed was only 180cm and had been created by pulling down the desk! Hotel staff refused to acknowledge that the room was not in line with what I had booked, and only offered an additional room (at higher cost than I had paid for the original room) or a room in the lower-quality ibis budget hotel next door (at unspecified cost). I travel extensively both for work and privately (100+ nights per year) and this was the worst experience in a long time. Even though I don't expect too much of ibis rooms and have put up with cramped rooms at other ibis properties at least those hotels did not lie about the room content.
I found the hotel very clean, nice and comfortable. The room was well designed and nice to be in. I only lacked one thing which I find in most other hotels. There were no coat hangers next to the entrance door to hang one's coat and other outdoor clothes. It is irritating to have to hang one's outdoor clothes in the closet together with one's other clothes. Other clothes can deliver this. Why can't Isis Hotels not do this?
Very short trip to visit relatives in town. Was positively surprised by how above average in size the room and bathroom were as I have stayed at other Ibis properties before. Good breakfast and attentive staff. Only problem was that housekeeping mistakenly took my sons towel to laundry and it never turned up. Staff never got back to me if they found it after we left.
Hotel quality was as expected although price was slightly higher than I could expect. Unfortunately I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the check-in and the wi-fi was not available at the beginning.
Used this hotel as a stopover on way back from southern Switzerland. Good location for visits to Lake Constance [Bodensee] and Rheinfalls for example. Clean and tidy, a decent breakfast and a good night's sleep.
Standard of IBIS is known worldwide, so just want to thank again the really super professional welcome of Mr. Sampson Appiah and lovely Ms. Irene. With their smiles and easy way of approaching in high professional way their customers, they made my "usual" stay in another IBIS a really precious memory. Gianpaolo
New building almost in the main City of Winterthur, close to a big shopping center but actually in a very calm residential area. The rooms and the structure in itself are the typical of Ibis style (which I personally like): functional, they offers you everything you may need, plenty of space and very clean. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant offers You a small but satisfactory selection of international but above all of Swiss cuisine. The quality of sleeping was very good, calm and tranquility in the night, very good air-conditioning, wonderful beds. The location allows you to visit the City or, to have a relaxing walk in the park on the nearby hill. They have also their own parking.
