This was our second visit. The room was functional, basic but had all we needed and was spotlessly clean. We knew it was a budget hotel. Breakfast next morning was ample, fresh and good value, However there were not enough mugs and glasses, and because there were lots of diners, coffee, juice and foods ran out faster than they could be replenished by the totally inadequate number of staff. The one server did her best and was courteous and fast working, but more staff were needed.

The hotel is nice with pleasant surroundings and good connections to city centre. You have all the basics with even some options for dining out in the vicinity. I would definitely recommend it if you are on a limited budget but still need more than just a bed.

No complaints really other than cleaning staff should clean the underside of a toilet lid. Reception very helpful, good distance to Old Trafford and restaurants. That said a very basic room. All in all I would return.

Funky foyer, young friendly staff. Room size fine but a little softening of the budget-spartan set up wouldn't go amiss. Also, I flew to Manchester and wasn't expecting the hassle of having to take shampoo, but there wasn't any! Easy access via Metrolink and good walking around the Quays

Please provide or at least sell shampoo and shower gel. Porter told me they have stopped selling it. It's an essential item in any hotel, no matter how 'budget'. Also, there was confusion over my length of stay. A maid who didn't speak English tried to kick me out of the room after the second day as I had made two separate bookings. Bad communication between staff.

Very clean and comfortable. All staff friendly, helpful and well trained .Rooms seem soundproof. Healthy breakfast.Nice area in salford quays close to the tram which take you to city of Manchester.I highly recommend this hotel. p.s. great showers.

I had informed the reservation or booking arrangement that due to unforeseen circumstance, I had cancelled my trip on that particular date and propose to change the travel date in 1st week Dec 2017 but was not entertained and considered not refundable and changeable. Not able to rate due to above reason that I did not check-in on that particular date That is the sadness of the hotel system or procedure which is not flexible and considerable. Thank you RAMLI

We enjoyed our one night stay at Ibis Salford Quays. The breakfast was excellent value for money. We will definitely return to this hotel and other ibis hotels in the future. Excellent location for Old Trafford and surrounding area. Near the Metro station.

Very good localisation of the hotel + near to two Metroling stops which is in my opinion a huge advantage. Rooms are clean, staff is very helpful. The breakfast ist maybe not the reachest, but still the service for the requierd price is high above the average.

Stayed here for 2 days last week. Basic room but decent size for 1 would be ok for 2 anymore would be a squeeze. Rooms were clean, TV worked and not too much noise considering their was a football match.

I've stayed here several times, and always find the hotel to be exactly what I need. Clean, cheap, simple, not inconveniently located. For preference, I actually prefer the other Ibis Budget near Piccadilly station, due to its location, but this one is absolutely fine if I can't get in there.

I stayed with my husband in this Hotel. It is well serviced to reach centre of Manchester by Metrolink. The hotel is modern and essential, people at the reception are kind and very helpful The rooms are very small but clean. I think, I'll come again!

Had a very pleasent stay at ibis budget Manchester. Friendly hotel in quiet location with excellent transport links to the city centre. Stayed to attend a music concert at the Manchester arena. Very handy for myself and my daughter. Basic but clean and safe.

The rooms were basic as expected but very comfortable for a nights stay. However, the night we stayed there seemed to be some sort of local festival and the amount of noise other people in the hotel were making was horrendous. We returned to our room about 10pm after having watched the man united game and were tired. The noise around the room we were in made it feel like a hostel.

No checking room before handover. Bad smell found in toilet. And wrong room provided (I booked a large bad and they gaved us a 1 double bed with 1 upper decker small bed. One thing is good, staff were patient on my complaint.

This budget hotel is great for a short stay. As an older traveller I did miss my morning cuppa before getting ready for the day, but if I was to stay for longer I would pack a travel kettle or fill a flask the night before. I had requested a chair in my room when booking but it wasn't there when I went to my room. One was soon found, though my grandson had to take it up for me. Though the toilet was very cramped and the door wouldn't stay open (I'm a little claustrophobic) the room as a whole was warm, clean & welcoming.

3 stars only because the room was clean but it had a weird smell. We arrived early in the morning (around 8am) and asked about checking in early. They said the room was ready but we would have to pay to check in early, so we had to wait until 2pm to check in to a room that was already available that morning. The hotel provides one towel per person and a tiny bar of soap. Also, House keeping woke us up at 9am then came back to get our trash at 11 even though we were checking out that day at 12. Hotel is very similar to hostel, if that's what you're looking for.

When I arrived confusion over booking so I had to pay £90 for this experience! And additional £7 to park my car in the hotel car park!!! Staff no authority to be helpful!! RIP OFF! Bar area really basic - hotel loaded with Birthday party and hen night crowds - so noisy through the night!

I booked a room with two single beds as per my previous stay at this hotel. I was amazed when I opened the door to the room only to find a double bed with a bunk above this bed. Both my friend and myself are in our mid 50's. I obviously complained only to be told that it was their fault but no other rooms available. We had to have the room but put the mattress from the bunk on the floor. The staff where at first very unhelpful and the breakfast was awful. Will be seeking a full refund as spoilt my birthday surprise with a day out a Manchester United ground.
